FREE Bulk Billing Medicare Service.

Medicare Urgent Care Service – All patients will be bulk-billed.

Medicare Urgent Care Service provides immediate treatment and care for patients who are experiencing non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Please note all patients will be triaged by our Urgent Care Team member. Only eligible patients who meet accepted medical conditions will be admitted into the service. If you are unsure if you qualify please get in touch with the Centre to discuss with our friendly team.

Urgent Care

Visit a Medicare UCC or other urgent service in your area for acute episodic care and treatment, including:

minor infections
minor fractures, sprains, sports injuries and sudden onset neck and back pain
Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
minor cuts

insect bites and rashes
minor eye and ear infections
respiratory illness
gastroenteritis
mild burns

Medicare UCCs will refer you to the emergency department if you have a life-threatening injury or illness, or to your GP for non urgent, routine and preventative health care.

General Care

Care provided by your local GP includes:

diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of diseases and illnesses
general screening and health checks
vaccinations and prescriptions
mental health advice
family planning advice
referrals for tests, scans or specialist care
Ongoing chronic disease care and health assessments

Emergency Care

If you or a loved one has a life-threatening injury or illness, do not attend a Medicare UCC. Call triple zero (000) or go to your nearest emergency department.

Do not attend Medicare UCC when there is:

chest pain or tightness
breathing difficulties
uncontrollable bleeding
sever burns
poisoning

numbness or paralysis
unconscious
unresponsive or having seizures
ongoing fever in infants

This Urgent Care Clinic will NOT provide replacements for lost, stolen or destroyed prescriptions.

Including Prescriptions for: Pain medications and other controlled substances.
